One Sure Way to Make Time for The Things You Love About the Holidays

One of the most enjoyable parts of the holiday season, for me, is reveling in cheesy Christmasy rom-coms. I love few things more than curling up under a blanket with a mug of something warm to watch a small town girl become a princess. I understand this high-brow film genre isn’t for everyone, though. But I bet you have something you try to consume—movies, music, cookies—every holiday season. By yourself, or with your roommates, partner, you best friends or family.

Day 1: Make a holiday bucket list.

You can do this the old-fashioned way with a notebook and a pen. Or you can keep a digital note on your phone or laptop. Whatever makes sense. Just find a place to start and maintain a holiday season bucket list. Make a list of the holiday movies you want to watch. Or make a playlist of songs to listen to. Or things to bake. Or things to see. Or books you want to read. Give yourself permission (and a game plan) to indulge in whatever you like to do to make this season feel bright. You can add to this list as the new slate of movies or books come out, or you find a cookie recipe you want to try.

Day 2: ¡Take care of your plants!

For 50 years, WWF has been protecting the future of nature. The world's leading conservation organization, WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by 1.2 million members in the United States and close to 5 million globally.

As we say: This shouldn’t feel like pressure, or another thing to do this season.

It’s fine if you want to play it by ear and enjoy your preferred traditions more spontaneously. But I find that making a holiday bucket list can be a pretty satisfying exercise to keep yourself busy with fulfilling things to do, watch, eat, or see this year. Especially now that the days all look the same. You can do this the old-fashioned way with a notebook and a pen. Or you can keep a digital note on your phone or laptop. Whatever makes sense.

How to get the most out of your plant:

  1. Get the plant to warmer temperatures as soon as you can.
  2. Water right away.
  3. Skip fertilizer.
  4. Later, prune dead foliage.

Or perhaps you’d rather dedicate your festive day of downtime to getting through it all. This shouldn’t feel like pressure, or another thing.
